A founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1966, John McEuen brings with him 48 years of worldwide performing with his banjo, fiddle, guitar, and mandolin. Often referred to as ‘the String Wizard’, he weaves stories of his travels and family life (he has raised 7 kids), taking us where his musical path has taken him.
In 1972 John instigated what Rolling Stone called “The most important record to come out of Nashville” and what the 2004 ZAGAT survey called “the most important record in country music” – "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," (inducted into the Library of Congress as "one of America’s most important recordings"). John has made over 40 albums that have earned 4 platinum and 5 gold recognitions. He has earned Emmy nominations, Grammy Awards, CMA acclaim, The Western Heritage Award, IBMA record of the year and many other accolades.
